The course has developed with a mixture of specific training and the visit to key places such as elementary and secondary schools that portray the Finnish educational system.

The training evolves with activities that intend to make teachers aware of the Finnish model of PBL - Phenomen-based learning. These activies introduce specific methologies to help students learn throughout the process without focusing on the result itself.

It starts with a real problem /question that students should focus on with the purpose of finding solutions through a process of self-enquiry, thought process and group work to reach them. This meaning that the focus should be given on the process and not on the result itself. The main learning objectives can include specific curricular objectives as well as attitudes and values that students should acquire/develop.

The visits to the different schools give teachers a different perspective on what a school should look like in terms of space organization and management of human resources.
